This year’s Virtual Ocean Pavilion will feature a wide range of events and roundtable discussions covering topics across the ocean-climate-biodiversity nexus. Please be sure to register for the COP31 Virtual Ocean Pavilion to access the full agenda that will be available from the Event Lobby or the navigation bar. We hope you will join us at this year's Pavilion from 2 to 20 November 2026!

Virtual Ocean Pavilion Exhibition Booths

Plan to visit ocean exhibition booths organized by leading ocean and climate organizations to showcase new and ongoing ocean-climate-biodiversity initiatives. Take advantage of the free access to a wealth of information that can be ‘taken away’ in your virtual delegate bag. Submit an Expression of Interest Form by 23 October 2026 if you are interested in hosting an exhibit during the COP31 Virtual Ocean Pavilion.

The Ocean in the UNFCCC

Initially launched during the COP30 Virtual Ocean Pavilion, a virtual exhibit on "The Ocean in the UNFCCC", will return for COP31 in collaboration with key partners led by Aygün Karlı (Atılım University). In keeping with the Virtual Ocean Pavilion's goal of “bringing the COP to the world and the world to the COP,” this exhibit will:

• Collate available information on the ocean in UNFCCC processes, including decisions relevant to the ocean made at the Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC starting with COP26 in Glasgow;
• Include reports from the mandated Ocean and Climate Change Dialogues (2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026) and information from the Ocean and Coastal Zones thematic activities of the Marrakech Partnership for Global Climate Action (MPGCA), including Activation Group 7 (Efforts to preserve and restore oceans coastal ecosystems), the Ocean Breakthroughs, and ocean-related initiatives of the UN Climate Change High-Level Champions;
• Include links to information on UNFCCC processes that are relevant to the ocean including the nationally determined contributions (NDCs) and the Global Stocktake; and
• Highlight key ocean and ocean-related events organized by the UNFCCC Secretariat at the COPs including events that involve world leaders and other official side events.
